9 weeks and 2 days. Is it almost over yet??? I've had a string of bad days. Mondays seem to be the worst for me. I actually made it to MOPS yesterday and ate a pretty good brunch. But I still didn't feel great. I'm not sleeping well either. Like last night, I woke up at about 2 am and didn't get back to sleep until almost 6 am and then got up at 7. I'm a little tired.
Here's what the babycenter.com says about the baby's development at nine weeks:
Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.
We had a great Thanksgiving at Ronnie's parents house. I ate a lot of food. We relaxed all day and the kiddos played and watched movies.
The boys had a great day on Friday making gingerbread houses with their cousins. I need to teach them to put more candy on them next year.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him. Psalm 103:11-13

Our Little Kidney Bean
From the BabyCenter.com: ( I am 8 weeks, 1 day)
How your baby's growing:New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.
The last few days have been tough. I've been extra tired and I haven't been able to keep anything down. Bedtime for me is about 7:30. And I get up about 8:30 am. Ronnie walked in the door last night and I lost it. I don't have the energy to do anything. The house is a mess, except the kitchen. I woke up to a clean kitchen this morning. I don't remember the last time I made dinner. A couple weeks ago, I tried, but the cooking smell made me super sick. Ronnie just took over last night. He came home, hugged me while I cried, and made dinner. I went to bed and he cleaned and played with the boys.
Our insurance should kick in next week, then I can go to the Dr. I'm so excited because I'm sure she'll do a sonogram to double check my due date and hopefully I'll hear the heartbeat. And, even though it says above that I shouldn't be able to feel the baby, I'm pretty sure I've felt it a few times over the last couple of days.
Happy Thanksgiving!

The Chore of Finding Good Food
Now that the morning/all day sickness seems to be a little more under control, I want food. Feed me! But, nothing and everything sounds good to eat. Yesterday for lunch, I made some Chicken noodle thingy. By the time it was cooked and ready, I didn't want it anymore. It's hard to find something that's not going to make me sick. I've been able to keep things down, but if it makes me feel sick, I cannot move for awhile. I also get tired of things pretty fast. Ginger Snaps are a thing of the past. I think I ate 10 of them. Lemons? Bleck. Those have been replaced by oranges. I just ate the last one though.
I have some cravings that I haven't been able to get rid of or satisfy. Ever since Robyn's blog about dougnuts, I've been craving a glazed dougnut. We live minutes from Krispy Kreme, but I have a hard time getting out of the house these days. I want a polish hot dog from Costco (which is even closer than Krispy Kreme), but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't sit well. I want some very salty Ritz crackers with cheese and pepperoni or some sort of meat on it. I want a Subway sandwich with just roast beef, cheese, and lettuce. Almond M&M's. Dr. Pepper. One of those Frappa lappa jappa things that Robyn makes. Those are delicious. Sour balls. Remember those? Yum! Hungry anyone? Sometimes the cravings pass quickly, but these ones have stuck around for a few days. And of course when Ronnie asks, I can't remember them. Now I have a list!
Weston is absolutely convinced I am having a boy. He's not even considering the fact that I could be having a girl. I told him it's possible and he did not believe me.
I haven't started showing yet. I am 7 weeks and 2 days. I give it a few more weeks now that I'm eating a bit more. Once I do, I will be sure to post pictures.
Have a wonderful day!

Feeling Better
I am 6 weeks and 5 days. Woo hoo! I'm excited when each day passes. I'm feeling a little better this morning. Even though, it's only 7:45 am. I did some research and made a list of things for Ronnie to get at the store. Saltines didn't work for me in the past, but I read that Ginger is a great tummy soother, so I had him get some Ginger Snaps. I have been nibbling on one since about 2 am and it seems to be working.
My dreams are also becoming very vivid. Last night all I remember is dreaming about drinking very cold water. Usually I can't keep water down while pregnant, so I've been steering clear and well, I'm thirsty! I read lemon water helps, so Ronnie got lemons and I've been sipping that.
We're already discussing names. We have a boy name, but we've have never really agreed on a girl name. I have one that I really like, but he's not too crazy about it, so we'll see. I may do the name game like Robyn did. I just finished reading her blog from that time, and it was fun. Although, I'll have to be creative with clues because it's unlikely we'll use a biblical name, but who knows? Any girl name suggestions would be much appreciated! We may even give a prize to the person who comes up with a name we agree on.
We had a nother movie night last night. Ratatouille came out this last week, so Ronnie bought it last night. I didn't make it through the whole thing, but the boys had a great time.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Last year was a bit crazy, so I wasn't really able to enjoy either of them.

6 weeks and 3 days
That's how far along I am according to my calculations. The baby is about a quarter of an inch big. So tiny. And I am miserable beyond miserable. Terribly nauseas and nothing helps. Except just giving in to it and letting time pass. This is going to be a looooong pregnancy. At least I get a baby out of the sickness. And being sick means that all is probably going well. I figure we will find out what we're having about Mid January to Early Feb. I haven't been to the Dr. yet because I am waiting for Ronnie's new insurance to kick in. Ronnie is doing great at taking care of me. I went to bed at 6:30 last night.
The boys are excited about the baby, not so much about mommy being sick. Weston asked me the other day if I was going to sit on the couch all day. I said yes. He wasn't too happy about it. Every so often Logan will come up to me and tell me he doesn't feel good, just so he can snuggle in the blanket with me.
