Weston & Logan's Birthday

On Saturday, we had a party for the boys. We had a blast!! It was great to have family together again. We missed those who weren't able to be there! Logan turned 4 the day after Christmas and Weston turned 6 last Tuesday, on the 15th. The pictures are still on my camera so I'll add those later.

Here is a picture of Weston at a month old. He was 8 lbs. 4 oz and 21 1/2 inches long at birth. He is still pretty tall for his age. And heavy! Last time I weighed him he was 50 lbs. Weston loves to play with his brother. They get a long so well (as long as Logan does what Weston says) Weston is very sure of himself and he's pretty stubborn. If you've been on the receiving end of his blank stares when you try to talk to him, you know what I mean. Sometimes I'd give anything to know what goes on in his head. He has a great memory so don't try to fool him. He's into Superman and saving the day. He loves to be hugged but you wouldn't know it. He will never ask for attention so I have to make sure to give it to him. He's very inquisitive and loves to know how things work. I remember when he was about two, he turned over the little bike he was riding and turned the pedals and watched for a few minutes how it all worked.
This is little Logan at 2 months old. He was born 5 weeks early at 5 lbs 12 oz, and 19 inches long. He was in the hospital for a week so his lungs could fully develop, learn to keep himself warm, and to eat properly. Logan is very very silly. He is very cuddly and will ask for attention when he wants it. He is also pretty stubborn, but at 30 lbs, I can still carry him to his room for timeout. He is quite a bit more outspoken then his brother. He loves any super hero and helps his brother to save the day. I have even caught the 2 of them jumping off the top of their dresser trying to fly while saving the day. They got in a lot of trouble for that!
There's so much more to the 2 of them that I'm sure I've forgotten the many fun traits that bring out their personalities. I am reading the book "Bringing up Boys" by James Dobson and I think I will keep them at home forever. It's a great book but has opened my eyes to soo many things. I love being a mom to boys!

17 weeks!

I can't believe I am already 17 weeks. It seems like an eternity ago that I found out we were having another one. I had my first appointment last week. Everything looks great. I heard the heartbeat for the first time and I wanted to cry. I love that sound! I said to my Dr. "that sounds like only one heartbeat, right?" And she said yes. There's ONE healthy baby in there! I'm not sure if I posted before but my neice Leeann has been praying for twin girls and she's already named them Carla and Rachael. My Dr. also made an ultrasound appointment for Friday, February 8th. Pray that the baby puts on a good show so we can find out the gender. I am actually excited about having a boy or a girl. The girl name that we had picked out has now been vetoed by Ronnie. Is that allowed since he already said he liked it a month ago? Back to the drawing board on a girl's name. He has said no to over 100 girl name suggestions.

I have been feeling lots of kicks! I had my hand on my stomach the other day and I felt the first one on the outside. Feeling the baby is the most rewarding part of pregnancy. The other part is getting fat and it being ok.

I'm also still sick. The last few days especially. I do have more energy during the day and that helps with being able to get dishes and other things done so the house doesn't look like a tornado went through it when Ronnie gets home.

Christmas and other things

Sorry it's been awhile.

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Rob & Robyn and the kiddos were here for a week. I loved having them here. I forgot how noisy it gets with 4 kids in the house! Titus can finally say my name. After 7 months of living with them and trying to get him to say it, I was very pleased. I couldn't find my camera for Christmas so Robyn took the pictures.

Right before Christmas, Ronnie ended up on the hospital with pancreatitis. He was there for 5 days. That was not fun. He's doing well now and finally went back to work today.

Logan turned 4 on the 26th. 4! They spent the night at Grandpa & Grandma's that night and had a blast. Weston will be 6 in a couple of weeks. Crazy.

I went to the lab yesterday so I can officially be declared pregnant. The test came out postive. Ya think? I can finally get into the Dr. to make sure there's only one in there. I started my 2nd Trimester this week. Woo hoo!! As of today, I am 14 weeks and 3 days. Baby is about the size of a lemon. I am wearing maternity clothes, though they are still a bit big. I'm at that point where it just looks like I'm gaining some weight around the middle. I still have good days and bad days. But I think the worst is over. Only a few more weeks and we'll be able to find out the gender. I cannot wait!
